Landmark Financial Asset Search - £135 + VAT

Landmark FAS allows probate lawyers to easily investigate any unknown assets of recently deceased individuals and supplement the work they are already undertaking on a client's estate. Although this search is not a legal requirement, probate lawyers are obliged to carry out such searches as part of their due diligence. Therefore, by undertaking the FAS, lawyers can be satisfied that they have taken all reasonable steps to identify and allocate assets.

Upon receiving the relevant information on the deceased, Landmark will contact a wide range of financial institutions, requesting any details of assets they may hold. We will then deliver its findings to you within 28 days of the search being submitted. Searches will continue to update and refresh for a period of 90 days from when the search was ordered, with automatic updates being generated and provided to you as they become available.

Information we require for the search is as follows:

  • Date of Birth
  • Date of Death
  • National Insurance Number
  • Last Known Address plus if lived there for less than 3 years then previous address
  • Previous Names
